Purpose

 What is the Strength of BMC 

  • Attract kids with the total prize of 1,200 US$.

  • By attending 2 times every year, Kids can finally memorize all bible verses of this competition. A kid can totally attend 24 (12 years*2 times/year) times assuming during K1~12.

  • Establish kids' identity of challenging the impossible.​

 Organzation Construction and Managing BMC 

 * Organization Construction

  1. BMC must have an organization in place. This includes a Chairman, a Board of Directors (consisting of 3 or more members), and a Secretary-General.

  2. The organization should establish clear rules for the fair and effective management of BMC.

  3. After BMC plan is accepted by Korean BMC committee, the prize money ($1,200) will be sent to the bank account designated by the Board

 * Preliminary Competition (PC)

​   Schedule

   9:00 AM:    Orientation and prayer

   10:00 AM:  Writing 12 Bible Verses (30분)

   11:00 AM:  Essay (60 minutes)

  • Scoring Criteria of Writing Bible Verses: One point is deducted for every wrong word out of 100. If the student does not know the entire verse, five points will be deducted.

  • The essay grading will be done by students on the day of Main Competition. The details of the essay evaluation process will be explained later.

 

 * Main Competition (MC)

   Schedule

   9:00 AM:     Praise and Worship (about 1 hour)

   10:00 AM:   Oral Exam

   12:00 PM:    Lunch and Essay Evaluation

   1:00 PM:     Debating Topic

 

  • Writing 12 Bible Verses on PC: Students in grades 1 to 70 are eligible to participate in the Main Competition (MC). All students who advance to the MC will receive a prize.

  • Oral exams are scored by two graders per student.  Each exam room has 10 students and two graders. Therefore, there must be 7 rooms and 14 graders. Students will recite 5 Bible chapters in front of the graders.  (Students are not allowed to bring Bibles into the exam room.) When grading, the graders should record the students’ recitation and submit them to headquarters along with the grades. As the students' recitation speed is quite fast, the graders must grade very carefully.  Graders are required to have the intellectual level of a teacher or equivalent.  To avoid the possibility of graders grading unfairly, please pay attention to the allocation of students and graders for each room.

  • Essay Evaluation:  70 students' essays will be displayed on the wall while they are taking the Oral Test. Note that each students’ name must be covered.  After lunch, students will read the 70 essays on the wall and choose one that they consider to be the best, placing a sticker on it. Only one sticker is given per student. At this time, a student should not put a sticker on his/her Essay. One sticker is worth 1 point, and the number of stickers received becomes the student's Essay score. The maximum essay score is 5% the total score.

  • Debating Topic: After PC, the board need to evaluate the essays of the Kid's, you need to group them into several groups. For example, 1) A praise and worship group, 2) Service group, 3) Prayer group, 4) Bible study group, etc. Please provide a room for each debating group. During the 1 hour of Debating Topic, they need to discuss what to do together and select the leaders of the group. After the discussion, the leader need to report the conclusions to all attendee. 
    BMC need to encourage them to have a meeting every month. They need to have independent authority by the Holy Spirit. Adults need to minimally control them. There is no score for this "Debating Topic."
